Folding Tandem Bike

Brand new folding tandem bike from Ecosmo comes sealed in box and 90% assembled. Only the handlebars, pedals & seats, chain need to be fitted, which doesn’t require any technical knowhow – these simply slot into place. The seat, brakes, gears or spokes may require some slight adjustment, however, the simple clipping system makes it easy to adjust the bicycle to your riding style. If you are not confident doing this yourself, we advise you to take the bicycle to a skilled bike mechanic – there are many great bike mechanics around the United Kingdom who will be able to adjust the bike to your own specific needs.

All non-electric Ecosmo bicycles come with a 12 month warranty on the frame and all non-electric small parts are subject to a 60 day warranty from the date of purchase.

Electric bicycles are also supplied with a 12 month warranty on the frame, battery and motor, with all smaller parts, such as brakes, gears etc subject to a 60 day warranty from the date of purchase.

Folding Tandem Assembly

Your new tandem bicycle will arrive folded down for shipping. Our patented quick-release hinge clips make completing assembly really easy, simply unfold the frame, slot-in the handlebars and seat post and ensure all of the clips are secured correctly. We always recommend you take the bicycle to a local bicycle mechanic in order to ensure the tandem bike is set-up to your own riding requirements. It is also important to double-check the spokes and brakes in order to make sure they are all still tight and have not become loose during transportation. In this case, the bike mechanic will carry out a quick assessment of the bicycle, such as making sure every bolt and nut is ‘nipped-up’ as it should be before you begin your adventure!

    Just taken delivery of an Ecosmo Folding Tandem in white. Assembly straight forward, using supplier tools. I am impressed by. the quality, particularly given the price. So far, we have only completed a couple of trial rides (2-4 miles), to make adjustments to seat heights etc, and, get the Stoker (my wife) used to the idea that she is not “in charge”. My only negative observation is that the gearing seems a bit low, slightly larger chain rings needed I feel. But, so far, we are having great fun, and, giving our neighbours a much needed laugh.
